There are exceptions to everything. Back in the '60s, I had a 1958
Plymouth that was a good car. No problems at all for the couple of years I
owned it. Ask around to some people from that era and find out how many
can say that!

Dad had a 56 Plymouth hardtop--charcoal grey and pink with push button
transmission. I believe that was refered to as the "forward look" complete
with wrap around windshield and tail fins.

I was the coolest dude at the drive in with that baby. When he would let me
drive it.
He was still ticked about the dings I put in his 54 Mercury and the gears I
ground off on it's standard tranny.
